Year 6 Home Learning w.e. 8.11.19

This week we have been –

Numeracy – completing activities relating to perimeter and area.

Literacy – writing poetry using poetic features, writing a short story using descriptive language.

Humanities – completing a timeline detailing the Roman Emperors

Activities to try at home –

Numeracy – mymaths activities are set on area and perimeter to complete at home

Literacy – research the reason why people wear poppies – the following is a helpful website to use.

Please encourage your child to learn any words they have in the Christmas play.  We will start rehearsals next week as there are only 4 weeks before the performances.  I will send out costume letters soon.  Also remember spellings and timetables you have to learn at home.  Please find the definitions of each of your spellings and write a sentence using your spelling.  This week we will be learning the 6 times table – remember quick recall is really important and will help further your maths.  There are lots of games on mymaths that can help you learn your tables.

Have a lovely weekend.
