Reception Home Learning W/E 31.1.20

This week we have been learning about-

Literacy- Identifying the title, blurb, author and illustrator when looking at different books. It's really important the  children regularly identify the tricky words that they see all the time in their reading books. Words like- my, said, you, my, want etc.
Soon the children will be writing simple sentences and will use these words a lot . So can you please support your child with the words they have in their reading diary.

Numeracy- Double numbers. Measuring height using non-standard units.

Science- How we can save water in our homes.

Humanities- Where do we live? Analysing information. Where do most people live? Least? Using welsh language- Ble rwyt ti'n byw?

How to help your child at home.

Literacy- See above for ideas.

Numeracy- Please help your child to learn double numbers to 10.

Science- Hopefully your child has come home with lots of ideas how to save water. When we save water we save energy that will help prevent the planet from warming up.

Enjoy the weekend.
