Year 5 Week Ending 21st October

This week it was lovely to meet with you and share how your children have settled into Year 5.

Over the week we have been continuing our work on Superheroes.
During our 'Lifting the lid' Week we have solving numerical problems that may challenge our Superheroes and in Literacy using our Superhero events to write a recount including the features necessary.

In Welsh we have been reading information and describing other people using the 3rd Person as well as in Guided Reading reading 'Bore Da' a Welsh magazine and finding out information about articles.

Over the holiday have a look at your recount and ensure it has all the elements necessary for a recount  in preparation for writing your final draft on Monday 31st October.

Look at mymaths for work to reinforce our learning from this term.

In Welsh use your place mat and vocabulary pack to help you write a detailed description about yourself and include extra information. Challenge yourself to include a description about a friend or a member of your family using the third person.

Finally have a well deserved break over half term.

Also revise your 2, 3, 4 and 5 times tables, our mental maths activities will be based around these next week.

Please remember to return your parent consultation slip and pantomime slip if you haven't already, thank you. Have a good weekend.
