Year 4 Monday 30th March

Year 4 w/c 30.3.20

A huge well done to everyone for what you have achieved in our first week of remote learning!

Numeracy

This week has a two part focus, the first half of the week concentrating on temperatures, scales and negative numbers and the second half on dividing by 10.  Just like last week, the instructions for each day will be attached to the activities on google classroom and will go live for you each morning.  For Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday you will not be able to edit the google docs due to the way the pictures have had to be added so you can answer on either a new google docs or on paper.

We would like you to spend approximately 15 minutes a day using TT blast on hwb to get your times tables super speedy – I will be checking out your scores!

Friday maths will be the same as last week using the Big Maths tests.

Literacy

This week we are starting with a comprehension about Andy Goldsworthy.  The text and questions are on  google classroom for you and can be answered on either google docs or paper.

Topic

This week there are another 5 tasks set for you which can be completed in any order you'd like to.  For the music, you should all have received an email from me to your Hwb email.  We are trialling using the at home section of our school music subscription called Charanga.  The at home section is called "YUMU" and the email contains how to log in and your passwords.  Please contact me using my hwb email if you are having problems.

Spellings

These will be set on a Monday – learn them throughout the week and then get somebody at home to test you on a Friday.

Welsh for the week

Following on from the Welsh last week of pets (anifeiliaid anwes) we would like you to complete a pet questionnaire, asking as many friends and family as you can (this is a great opportunity for you to keep in touch with everyone!)  1 star is bronze, 2 stars is silver and three stars is gold.  They will be available on google classroom for you.

Stay safe and look after your families. Good luck and happy remote learning.
