Topic

Perhaps you could discuss with your child how there will be garden parties and celebrations on Friday to celebrate the end of a World War 11. Obviously because of lockdown, families will have to celebrate within their own household. What can we do/make, to celebrate this fun day? Perhaps you could think about having a family picnic in the garden. How can we decorate the garden? Think about the colours we could use. What shall we eat?

Creative/Literacy

Can you make a "We'll meet again card" for a grandparent or someone you haven't been able to see for a while. Decorate in red, white and blue colours. Write a lovely message and send in the post. You will definitely cheer someone up.

Bunting

Make several big triangles on paper or card. Can you decorate them in the colours of red, white and blue? You could also use paper plates and hang them like bunting. Decorate your windows or outside in the garden.

Yoga

Snake

When snakes are coiled and resting, they look around calmly, and when they move, they are slow and smooth.

Sit up tall. Take a deep breath in, filling up your whole body.

Pause and breathe out slowly and smoothly, making a hissing sound for as long as you can.

Repeat for three to five rounds, feeling yourself slow down and become calmer each time.

Weekly Welsh

Following on from last week-Think about the foods you would like to eat to celebrate VE Day.

Beth wyt ti'n hoffi? (What would you like?).

Answer dw i'n hoffi……… (I like….)

Make a list of the foods. Draw them and write the names of food. Try to use initial sounds or part of the word.
