Literacy
To find information in a text
Using the BBC daily lesson here
use the book Ella Bella Ballerina and A Midsummer Night's Dream and will learn how to find information in a text and write creatively. Before completing the acitivtes and watching the videos, predict what you think the stories will be about from their titles. There are videos to watch and listen as well answering questions. You will also be ordering events that have happened in the story as this is good to check understanding and sequencing. Another skill you will develop is using the text to support your answers/ reasons.

Maths
To double numbers
Yesterday you looked at halving numbers, in particular odd numbers. Today we are going to look at recapping doubling numbers. On the Year 2 shared folder on HWB are the instructions and activities to complete. Please also go over timetables ensuring confidence and rapid recall in and out of order. You could mix this up with TTblast on J2E, hit the button on Topmarks or even have your own mini fire/ hot seat competition

Topic
To learn a circus skill
Yesterday you would have explored the circus and designed your own. You should have discussed and looked at the different acts that take part and perform at circus events. I want you to spend today and tomorrow learning and perfecting a circus skill. This will depend on what resources you have- I imagine you should be able to try juggling, however walking the tight rope might be more tricky! I would love to see videos and pictures of your skill! Depending on what skill/act you decide to do, think carefully about what you need to do to succeed e.g. for juggling- hand eye coordination for throwing and catching, tight rope walking- balance etc.

Enjoy!
