Literacy
To plan and write a story
Today and tomorrow will be to plan and write a story for a 500 word competition linked to Black lives matter. I am sure you will have seen and your children maybe aware around the recent 'BLM' campaigns/ protests/events etc. I want you to chat about this and link it back to equality. You may decide to touch upon some basic history as to why this all started etc.
The links above give you more information about the competition and how you can enter. Use a spider diagram or note/bullet form to plan some ideas about what your story will be about. You may want to plan your characters/ setting/ beginning/ middle/ end. Remember it is only 500 words. It can be as creative and imaginative as you like but it must link to the 'BLM' movement/ issue.

Topic
To learn a circus skill
Monday you would have explored the circus and designed your own. You should have discussed and looked at the different acts that take part and perform at circus events.Yesterday you should have decided on a circus skill/ act and practised it ready to   perfect and perform it today. This will depend on what resources you have- I imagine you should be able to try juggling, however walking the tight rope might be more tricky! I would love to see videos and pictures of your skill! Depending on what skill/act you decide to do, think carefully about what you need to do to succeed e.g. for juggling- hand eye coordination for throwing and catching, tight rope walking- balance etc. You may decide to learn a new skill and perform both skills/ acts you have learnt.

Enjoy!
