Good Morning Year Threes and parents. I will be putting more work on to Google Classroom from now on. To access you can still log in to Hwb then use the 'Google for education' link. Make sure you are logged in with your Hwb account. If not you can change it by clicking on the letter in the top left corner that is in a circle. Then add account. You will then see Year 3 in the right hand corner. Click and away you go.
Here are the activity levels for your work as a reminder:
Bronze – all complete Silver – additional challenge |
Gold – high challenge
Literacy: your spellings can be found on Google Classroom under High Frequency Words. The instructions are there also.
L.O: To use apostrophes for possession
Apostrophes (') are used when words are missed out (omission) or when belongings are included. This is called possession.
For example: The dog's bone was buried deep.
Mr Green's class were working really hard.
So you place the apostrophe after the noun and then an 's' is used.
Instead of writing the PS4 that belongs to Sam you would write Sam's PS4. When it's one person we call it singular possession. Have a go at writing your own example.
We then have plural possession
The book belonging to the class - The class' book. This works when it ends in an s.
