Literacy: Big Write- to read Funny Bones by Allan Ahlberg
We are going to listen to the story of 'Funny Bones' and complete a reading activity form the BBC Bitesize Home learning resources.
Follow the lesson and complete the reading challenges.
If you have time or energy! Challenge yourself to write your own version of the story.
Try and include as much interesting detail as you can by including adjectives in your writing.
Your Big Write can be done in your Home Learning Book or use Jit5 if you would like to try and type your information. Maybe write a couple of sentences by yourself and then ask an adult to help you with your writing, or even ask them to write for you, while you share your imaginative ideas! Don't forget to use your speed sounds to help you with your spelling.
Bronze: to use nouns in your story and use your Speed Sound Chart to help you spell some of your words.
Silver: to use capital letters, full stops and spell with increasing accuracy.
Gold: to use nouns, adjectives, verbs, capital letter, full stops and an exclamation mark in your writing. To spell accurately and write it by yourself!
Try some Funny Bone art using chalk or J2easy and selecting a black background! Have fun!

Numeracy:
Today I have added the Big Maths Challenges to our Numeracy Class Folder within our Hwb Classroom.
There are 3 available: Clic, Learn Its and Safe- we usually complete CLic and Learn Its in Week One and SAFE during Week 2, so please don't feel you need to do them all today. They are there to check how the children are doing and identify any gaps in learning, so let them try on their own. The Learn Its should be completed in less than 2 minutes as it checks our recall of known number facts. If you have any problems accessing them please let me know and I can email them to you (peacockk2@hwbcymru.net).
