Big Write: Silly Billy by Anthony Browne
Continuing our work from yesterday from the book 'Silly Billy' by Anthony Browne. Think about the worries Billy had in the story and how he solved them. Today we are going to write our own simple version of the story. It can relate to your own thoughts or that of an imaginary character...it's entirely up to. But don't forget it's good to share your thoughts, I hope you did that with the worry dolls you made of your own yesterday.
Bronze: to use a capital letter and full stop for a sentence in your story.
Silver: to included extended punctuation; comma, exclamation mark and question mark
Gold: to challenge yourself to use speech marks around the words a person is saying in your story.

Today I have been able to add the Big Maths Challenges to our Class Folder within our Hwb Classroom.
There are 3 available: Clic, Learn Its and Safe- we usually complete CLic and Learn Its in Week One and SAFE during Week 2, so please don't feel you need to do them all today. They are there to check how the children are doing and identify any gaps in learning, so let them try on their own. The Learn Its should be completed in less than 2 minutes as it checks our recall of known number facts. I have also added an editable version to save you printing them off it helps. (In the pupil folder on Just2easy). If you have any problems accessing them, please let me know and I can email them to you- (peacockk2@hwbcymru.net).

As part of our Outdoor Learning we are going to test our memories by completing the Memory Test Game. The Memory test activity is a fun game that will help children look closely at what they can see outside and see how well their memory power is doing at the same time!
Children make a list of what they can see outside. How many trees are there? Do they know the species? Are there any other plants? They could also draw pictures. Once they have made their list, they cover it, close the curtains and write/draw as many things as they can remember.
Finish the afternoon by looking at the Clouds...what can you see? This is one of my favourite activities, looking up and finding the shapes of different objects/ items/ characters....you could even share a little story about your cloud with someone at home! Let your imagination run free!
Don't forget to continue your 30DaysWild activities and let us know what you do and if you take part in the Big Wild Weekend! Have fun, we hope the sun shines for you all!
Enjoy your weekend, stay safe and see you Monday!
