Literacy
To explore word endings and vocabulary
Using The BBC Bitesize lesson here
https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zxpx8hv complete each of the activities. Not only is this activity good for developing vocabulary but also spelling. Let the children play the game first and before introducing the lesson ask them how many different endings they can think of e.g. -ing, -ed, -er etc. See if they can come up with some words for each of the endings they have thought of. Then start on practise/activity 1 and work your way through the activities set.

Maths

To recognise and understand fractions.

Using the BBC Bitesize lesson here

https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/z4j83j6 work through the examples/ videos/ activities. The children should be fairly confident with recognising fractions e.g 1/3- shading 1 out of 3 etc. 1/4 is finding half then halving that number again, but it is a good activity to consolidate their understanding as well as linking fractions to their timetables. You may decide to also have a go at this practically as well.

Topic
To learn about habitats
Using The BBC Bitesize lesson here
https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zhvmt39 work through the activities and videos.
Before doing so, ask your child about the different habitats- what are they like? Where can they be found? What sort of animals live there? What is the climate like? See how many different ones they can think of before starting the BBC lesson. The children can then create their own fact file about a habitat of their choice.

Sports Day!
Today is the day for Sports day! Put on your house colour clothes and get cheering! Remember there are 7 activities  races for you to complete. You will get 1 point for your house for every activity you complete. Please send or upload a photo or video so we can see what you have completed and tally up your points. Please can I have these no later than Tuesday morning so that we can then add up all of the points across the school to find the winning house.  You don't have to complete any or you can just complete a few! Here they are to remind you-

Good luck and enjoy! I look forward to seeing your Sports day photos!
