Good morning! With all the activities we have planned for you this week it is going to be a busy week!
Sports Day is today!!!!!!
It is time for our first ever virtual sports day! Each class has decided on an event for sports day so we have seven events in total.
1.Strawberry and spoon – race a family member whilst balancing your strawberry on a spoon.
2. See how many times you can bounce a ball in a minute.
3. How far can you walk balancing a book on your head?
4. Race members of your family in a three legged race.
5. How many skips can you do in a minute?
6. How many bunny hops can you do in a minute?
&. How long can you hold the plank for?
For each activity you enter you will be given a point, giving each child a maximum of seven points they can earn for their house. You will need to send a video/photograph to your class teacher (either email or google classroom) to show you completed the activity. Please try and wear something for your house colour to help me when giving out points. I will then tally up the points for the WHOLE school to find out the winning house! Sports Day will take place on Monday 8th June. Please make sure you have sent your photo's to me by 11am on Tuesday 9th March. Bronze certificate will be available for those completing 1 – 3 activities, silver certificates for 4-6 activities and a gold certificate for completing all seven activities.
Numeracy
Maths for Monday to Wednesday is on My Maths, concentrating on 2d and 3d shapes. There will then be an investigation for maths on Thursday. Please remember to work through the lesson on My Maths before beginning the work.
Literacy
Today you will be identifying features of a play script and writing definitions of the vocabulary associated with it.
Topic
Head to google classroom for your topic activities which include designing a bird, making a superbug and wildlife yoga. Have fun!
Spellings
These will be set on a Monday – learn them throughout the week and then get somebody at home to test you on a Friday. I would really like to know your scores if you want to put them on the stream for google classroom.
Welsh for the week
We are going to be recapping lots off the skills from this year by using an online game. Full instructions on what you need to do are on our classroom.
