Year 6 Thursday 21st May 2020

Good morning Yr6,

All your learning continues on Google Classroom for you to complete.
Literacy will continue with looking at novels from the Hay Festival, with a choice of activities on the new text two texts. However, if you would prefer to do more activities based on previous books that's fine. Also continue with your activities to persuade someone to read your favourite book. Remember to tell me what your book is so I can pair you with someone at the end of the week.
Numeracy is a range of different word problem solving activities. There are about 12 different activities which you can choose to complete.

I hope you were able to join in the joy of moving yesterday and would love to see any pictures you may have taken. Topic work is still on google classroom to complete in any order you would like. This includes making a paper rocket, drawing an alien and creating a menu for Tim Peake - I hope you enjoy the activities.

There is also a link on the blog to vote for our topic after half term. Click on the link and vote for your preferred topic - it's that easy. We will let you know what the topic is after half term.

Remember your daily spelling journals , reading and times tables.

Also remember to take time to enjoy the sunshine in you garden or on your daily walk. Look at the changes around your local environment and marvel in beautiful it is.

Take care. Mrs Cotton.
