Literacy
Mrs Garbett's group
oo sound- zoo mood pool moon
Today will be the oo (poo at the zoo) sound. Make 4 words with oo sound. Get your child to identify the special friends (oo) and then blend and read the word. After a few recaps you can say the word for your child to write down. Do this with the 4 words and then 1 recap word (book). Mark together. Remember to use tall and short letters, (they are not all the same size). Tall letters should touch the top of the line and small letters half way. If you can see your child forming letters incorrectly, just practise a line of one of them. Dictate this sentence several times and then encourage your child to write it down- I will cast a spell on you. Mark together and write out again if it needs to be corrected. If you can see your child forming letters incorrectly, just practise a line of one of them.

Mrs Evans group.
nk- think drink sink rink
Today will be the ng sound. Make 4 words with nk (I think I stink) sound. Get your child to identify the special friends (ng) and then blend and read the word. After a few recaps you can say the word for your child to write down. Do this with the 4 words and then 1 recap ng word? Mark together. Remember to use tall and short letters, (they are not all the same size). Tall letters should touch the top of the line and small letters half way. If you can see your child forming letters incorrectly, just practise a line of one of them. Dictate this sentence several times and then encourage your child to write it down- I can run. I can skip. Mark together.

Mrs Miles group (I am conscious that I might be going a little too quickly with this group, as not all children knew all initial sounds). So feel free to go back over previous words and plod on with initial sounds.
Word Time 5-met fun log hit
Recap all initial sounds. This is really important. Say the words above in FRED TALK (say each syllable rather than say the word). Encourage your child to tell you what you have said. Only tell them the word if you have said it several times and they still don't know. Then dictate one word at a time and encourage your child to write it down. Mark together. Please support your child to form letters correctly with the handwriting sheet that they should have in their sound folders. Also perhaps play fastest finger with the sounds learnt so far.

Numeracy.
Position-Use language next to, above, under, on top of, underneath, forwards, backwards, turn to the right and left.
This can be done using a cuddly toy, doll, dinosaur etc. Demonstrate placing the toy next to for example a chair, underneath the chair etc. So your child becomes familiar with the language. Also, begin to help your child to recognise right and left. (This is a tricky concept).

All Children-Do this practically.
Most- Draw 4 boxes in your exercise book and draw a picture of your toy using positional language.
Challenge- Identify your right and left hand. Perhaps you could give your child instructions to move to somewhere in the house using directions. Then swap over and your child could give you instructions.

Mindfulness. First thing in the morning if you can. The whole family, you all need this!
Inhaling the Universe
·         Stand with your feet wide apart. Raise your toes up and lower them again. Feel the bottoms of your feet on the floor.
·         Raise your arms as high as you can, fingers spread, and breathe in deeply, hold your breath.
·         Bend forward, breathe out and say a big Ahhh! Swing your arms down by your sides.
·         Breathe in and imagine scooping the entire universe into your arms and over your head as you stand up again. Hold your breath and imagine showering yourself with stars, planets and space.
·         Bend forward, releasing your breath and another big Ahhh!
·         Imagine scooping the universe up and over your head two more times.
·         End your exercise by taking three soft, slow, mindful breaths. Remember you are an important part of the universe.

Creative
Yesterday I asked you to create a flower in the style of Georgia o' Keefe (remember the petals touch the edges of the paper). Whether you have done it using the paint program on Hwb or paint, colours etc, perhaps you could do this-FOR NHS NIGHTINGALE HOSPITAL. They are asking for children to create a rainbow to decorate their new wards. You can either send a picture of your draawing to my email, or share on Twitter using #RainbowsForNightingale
WE CAN DO THIS, MY LITLE DARLINGS.

Welsh
Recap these language patterns-

Answer- Dw i'n bwy yn……….  I live in…….
