Year Six Welsh- W/C: 27th April 2020

This week we are planning to write a book review to finish our work on ' Y Ras Feiciau'
Monday: To achieve this today we will look at the Aled ac Ana Antur text explorer.
Read a book review, (select the challenge according to class or how confident you feel today: */ **/ ***) based on the book 'Gangsta Granny' and decide which genre they exemplify.
Annotate to demonstrate features of a successful book review and magpie language patterns.

Look at Success Criteria File to help you consider your plans as we work through the week. I've included the Translation to help you after you've had a go at reading the reviews yourself!



Tuesday: Complete speed writing challenge –

Practice key words and phrases to fluency to be completed daily to help you spell accurately:
e.g.
Fy hoff gymeriad ydy …
Dw i'n rhoi / seren / achos dw i'n hoffi / achos mae'n
Dw i'n meddwl bod… ar y dechrau, wedyn, yna, yn y diwedd, dw i'n meddwl bod

Wednesday: Camera Clic.
Use the vocabulary from yesterday and the attached sheet (see google classroom)  to write your words from memory! Have fun!

Thursday:  Independent Writing Opportunity –To write a book review on Y Ras Feiciau or any book of your choice

- Have a look at the models of planning a book review based on the book 'Ein Stori Ni', using the success criteria and the mind map or planning frame of choice.

- Plan a book review based on Y Ras Feiciau or a book of your choice.

- Look at the first draft of a book review, referring back to the Aled ac Ana Antur text explorer activity (Monday).
Have a good go at using the correct spelling of target words, phrases, sequence of features and ways to improve once completed.

This will be your complete first draft of book review.

Friday: Edit and complete the final draft of your book review.
Once you have finished evaluate your work according to the challenge you set yourself earlier in the week (*/ **/ ***)
